Reese finally celebrated her first Christmas after 363 days of being alive! She has a cold, though, so she’s been quite crabby. She didn’t really get opening presents and she was totally ready for a nap by the time we were done. She does love her new toys and books, though, and I love her new clothes (she’s in 12-18 month clothes!). Here’s a look back at what Reese looked like at this time last year:

We’re off to Albuquerque tomorrow to celebrate Christmas and New Year’s. We will also have a cake for Reese. Yay! Hopefully she’ll be back to her cheerful self by then.

We got our first Christmas tree last Saturday, and we all enjoyed decorating it! Reese liked a bell ornament so much she played with it for the entire time we were decorating. Brian downloaded the Peter, Paul, and Mary Christmas album (I had been listening to The Messiah while I put out our Nativity) and we decked the halls!

Yesterday and today we have been making Christmas cookies. Reese participated by being cute and playing with a whisk, pots, and some spoons on the floor.

Reese is finally starting to take to table food more. She particularly loves apples and quesadillas and will chase me down and tackle me if I have them. She will chew on an apple for up to a half an hour, spitting out the bits she bites off with her very, very sharp teeth.
