Reese spent some time with her walking toy (”car” to her cousin Joshua), and is starting to get around some. More fun, though, is that she finally started waving! I’ve been working with her for months, and she will finally consistently wave goodbye. It melts my heart. What about yours?

I’ve been a terrible blogger lately, I have no excuse! Reese has been doing tons of cute stuff:

She went through a week where, while playing, she would periodically lay down on the floor and kick her legs and smile. It was hilarious, and sometimes I would tackle her with tickles and kisses. I tried to get it on video, but I couldn’t.

While we are driving she will sometimes peer around the side of her carseat where she sits facing backwards, and smile at the driver. You can feel her grinning face aimed at you from your seat and have to turn around and grin. It’s a little dangerous since our roads are so windy!

She can clap now and she is talking a lot more. It sounds like she’s mimicking sometimes or even trying to carry on a conversation.

She can stand on her own, though anytime she does she gets freaked out and sits down. We got a push toy from friends of ours, and we’re hoping that inspires her to walk. I know she’ll be everywhere, but she will be able to move around in dirty places like the park, the shop, airports and I won’t have to hold her all the time.

She’s got a lot of music in her life now since Brian and I lead worship every Sunday. I also bought her some cheap music toys that we bang and “dance” to.

Reese and I took a trip to Richmond last week to entertain ourselves while Brian was gone. Sadly, he took the camera with him, so there are no new pictures of our niece Joy or of the family. Reese and Brian were very happy to be reunited last Friday though.
