Reese has started to pull herself up, which is shocking, considering her sketchy mastery of crawling. She whacked her head on a dresser this morning, because she really likes the knobs. Ahh, so begin the bumps and bruises. Not that she hasn’t fallen of the bed twice. Ooops. Now it’s time for an even closer eye. In other news, she has a tooth. amazing!

One Sunday we got back from the annual Lyman family vacation, rested, slightly more tan, and ready for the real world. It was a blast, as always, to play games, watch movies, play in the waves, and just hang out with everyone. I’m already looking forward to next year!

The whole family!

This is Reese’s two and a half year old cousin “reading” to her. Clearly, he’s very engaging.

The pineapple swimsuit strikes again!

My college roommate came to visit early this week. We had so much fun with her here. We swam in the lake and sat around reading Harry Potter, mostly. She and I also took Reese to Uptown Charlotte and we all fell in love. It’s been a great week and a half.

The first segment is from the first time she pulled up her knees a few weeks ago. The second is from last Sunday. So far she doesn’t crawl all the time, but if she really wants something (like my glasses or the remote control) she will travel.

Reese likes playing with hands. This is her playing with her Nana.

Sorry for the crash. I know you’ve been pining for the adorable rosy cheeks of my daughter. Well, here you go.

Brian and I got our new couches. Here’s Reese doing her Vanna White routine.

She’s getting better and better at crawling (video will be posted soon). She crawls well on the bed, and can move towards things she wants on the floor, but she’s not really traveling yet. It’s just a matter of time!

This is one of my favorite views of her. I love her fuzzy little head and her soft, round shoulders.

I got caught!
